Product Review: Laura Mercier’s “Candleglow” Soft Luminous Foundation

I didn’t have much expectation when I first purchased this and had not heard much about it when I did so I went into this review with a “virgin” mind.  At first glance, the packaging is very nice with a frosted glass bottle, a metallic gold cap, and a pump dispenser.  As most people know, a pump dispenser is the most desired form because of the easy application that is the least messy.

Secondly, the foundation itself is hydrating and smooth, pigmented, has medium to full buildable coverage, and a pleasant, soft, clean smell that is not “chemically” or overpowering.  I admit sometimes I am a cynic when it comes to foundations that claim to have a “luminous glow” because I am picky when it comes to highlighted skin but this foundation actually does have a lit from within glow about it.  I was very pleasantly surprised.  It does not claim to be long-wearing but I didn’t have any trouble with it throughout the day but I also set my t-zone with powder.

So, considering all the pros of this foundation I would definitely purchase it again as well as recommend it.  I think you would be pleasantly surprised with this foundation.
