Spring/Summer Trend: Aqua Eyes

Spring has sprung and summer is following close behind!  As you may have seen all over the fashion world, the color aqua is hot right now and is being used in many makeup looks this season for the eyes that incorporate this bright spring and summer feeling shade.  The shades can range from range from bright neon aquas to deep ocean-aqua blues.  The color can be worn subtly for just a soft sheer wash of color or more heavily for an intense deeper darker look.  Depending on which eye color you have, this color leaves room for one to play with on green, blue, and brown eyes, etc..   I personally think it is stunning on brown eyes!  You can line the entire eye or just apply it on the lower or upper lash line only.  A lighter sparkly aqua can also put on the inner corner of the eye for an inner corner highlight.  Eyeliners and pencils of the same color work well for this also.  If you really want to amp it up, try adding glitter on top with Glitterinjection’s “Ocean Dreams” for an even more eye-catching look!

Also, it can be daytime wearable with softer more subtle shades or it can also be paired with a smoked out eye for a sultry evening look. You can also apply it to the waterlines of the eye.  It’s also fun to try mixing aqua shades with others to come up with a different “custom” kind of shade.  So, if you decide to follow the trend of aqua eyes this season, have fun with it and experiment with this breezy and beautiful shade and wear it with confidence knowing that you’re on trend by sporting this shade this spring and summer!
