New Makeup Focus: NYX’s Prismatic Eyeshadows

I saw these “Prismatic Eyeshadows” by NYX as I was walking out of Walgreen’s one day and the shimmery shades that I saw from the corner of my eye stopped me.  I have always liked NYX eyeshadows and the quality and pigmentation that they are for a drugstore brand but when I picked up one to swatch them and saw the pigmentation of these new metallic shades my mouth dropped open with shock that they were so good so I grabbed several of them.  I believe there are approximately 10 shades and I bought five of them in the colors “Jaded” (a silvery sage green), “Bedroom Eyes” (a bronzy tan), “Girl Talk” (a silvery light pink), “Smoke and Mirrors” (a smokey charcoal), and “Golden Peach” (a glowing pale golden-peach), “Blue Jeans” (a silvery slate blue), “Mermaid” (a shimmering green aqua blue), “Liquid Gold” (a copper gold), “Punk Heart” (a smoldering deep purple), and “Frostbite” (a duochrome white frost with a pink shift).

These shadows are some of the most pigmented I have ever seen from NYX.  They are along the lines of metallic shadows similar to a lot of the other cosmetic companies on the beauty market that have recently been launched and are trending in the cosmetic industry lately.  These shadows are really pigmented and creamy with high color payoff and really smooth as well as very blendable without patchiness, fallout, or flyaway, and wear really well without fading.  They run for $6.00 a piece online and around $7.00 at Walgreens or other drugstores with about 0.4 ounces of product.  My favorite colors are “Girl talk”, “Punk Heart”, “Jaded”, “Blue Jeans”, and “Bedroom Eyes”.

I think in these Prismatic Shadows NYX has really done well with these reaching the other quality of some of the products they are known for that are cult classics like the lip pencils, the “Butter Gloss” lip glosses,  “Matte Ink Liners”, “Soft Matte Lip Creams”, and “Jumbo” Eye Pencils, etc…  and would definitely recommend picking these up.
