Eyeshadow Palette Focus: Too Faced’s Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette

  1. The original eyeshadow palette from Too Faced that became so popular and sold like hot cakes that started a cult following favorite “chocolate” palettes including the “Semi-sweet Chocolate Bar”, “White Chocolate Bar”, “Matte and White Chocolate Chip”, and “Chocolate Bon Bon” palettes that also became very popular, has added another possible cult favorite following in this palette.

It is the third palette in the series and has gotten a lot of really good reviews so far since it came out in December.  It is one of the most colorful of the palettes so far with rich purple, gold, green, and rust shimmers and 3 mattes with two being light and dark chocolate browns and one cream ivory shade that are good transition shades for the palette to mix with the shimmer to create several different eye shadow looks.  My favorites are the shades “Livin Lavish” (a deep purple plum shimmer), “Holla For A Dollar” (an olive green shimmer), and “Love & Cocoa” (kind of a rose cocoa brown shimmer).  There is an interesting silver shade which was probably added for the Christmas holiday to create some festive looks to use with the gold too.

There are 16 shades total in the palette and the same amount of product and pan size as in the previous chocolate palettes in a really beautiful dark brown hard cover with half of it being covered in a metallic gold dripping looking cover and the inside has gold trim around the pans as well.

The shades themselves are really pigmented and buttery with a beautiful shimmer to them and the mattes are also very pigmented.  The palette is priced at $45.00 with 3.6 grams/0.12 0z. of product.  I think it is a gorgeous palette and probably the prettiest one in the series of chocolate bars.
