Holiday Glow Series Focus: Best Holiday Highlighters

For the last post of the “Holiday Glow” Series Focus for the holiday what better way to end the series than with the Best Holiday Highlighters of the season.  When it comes to highlighters (since I am a highlighter junky with it being my most favorite makeup products besides blush), it is hard for me to narrow down a list since I love them all but there are definitely some that are better and more gorgeous than others.  So for this post, I am going to list what I think are the bestñ some old and some new with the best being last.

So, first on the list is Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in “Prosecco Pop” that Jaclyn Hill created with them.  I know how some people feel now about Jaclyn Hill but Becca has some of the best highlighters on the market.  This highlighter is the perfect golden shimmer that is buttery and pigmented and represents the bubbly fun and specialness of the holidays.  Next is Anastasia Beverly Hills “Sugar Glow” Kit that is a quad of champagne-beige and pink-toned shades that to me represent the holidays with sugar sprinkled shades like “Marshmallow”, “Butterscotch”, and “Gumdrop”.  The Ambient Lighting Highlighting Powders from Hourglass Cosmetics well known for its gorgeously soft and illuminating glow in the shade “Champagne Pearl” that festively represents one of the holiday’s favorite celebratory drinks in a beautiful beige-pink shimmer.  The higher-end line of Charlotte Tilbury has its ever-popular holiday highlighter in the “Bar of Gold” Highlighter Trio with three shades in the original gold, rose gold, and gold bouillion to reflect the gold richness of the holiday season.

The highlighters from Laura Mercier are favorites to wear for an illuminating glow with their “Paint With Light Radiance Face Illuminator” Trio in a creamy smooth “prismatic pearl” formula with the shades “Devotion”, “Inspiration”, and “Obsession” for a high illuminating glow.  The relatively new Fenty Cosmetics line that is quickly gaining a cult following has the intensely gold and highly pigmented highlighter called “Trophy Wife” that also has liners, lipstick, and body lava for some body shimmer in the same golden shade.  The recently raved about “Backstage Glow Face” Palette highlighter quad in the palette “Glitz” has four gorgeous shades in a shimmering peach, a bronze with “holographic accents”, a pearly white, and soft gold for that extra special holiday glow.

One of my favorite cosmetics lines in the world Lancome Cosmetics has the “Dual Finish” Highlighter Palette Holiday Edition Trio that comes with 3 ultra-creamy highlighters that are super buttery and pigmented and can be used dry or wet for a more intense glow in the shades “Golden Glow”, “Frosted Rose”, and “Sparkling Peach”.  Another holiday favorite and one of my favorite brands ever as well as a favorite for the holidays among makeup lovers is Bobbi Browns Highlighting Powder “Bronze Glow” that is an absolutely gorgeous high-intensity and illuminating festive gold glow.  For a little more on the reasonable and lower end priced highlighter range, there are the Maybelline “Master Chrome” Highlighters with the shade “Molten Gold” that is intensely pigmented and smooth in a true golden shade that really does seem molten with an intense metallic sheen as well as the “Mega Glo” Highlighters from Wet-N-Wild particularly in the quad palette that are a pigmented and glowing smooth quality formula for the price and some of the best in drugstore.

For some extra special highlighters for the holiday season that are embossed with some beautiful festive designs as well as shimmer, there is the Burberry “Festive Silver Shimmer” Illuminating Powder that is a pretty silver shade with a bow embossed on the top of it and in gorgeous silver packaging.  There is also the Chanel “Eclat Magnetique De Chanel” Illuminating Powder in the shade “Metal Peach” which is a subtle flesh peachy-pink glow with a beautiful braided wreath design on it.  For the Lunar New Year, Clinique Cosmetics has the Cheekpop Highlighter in “Gold Celebration” which is a shimmery pale gold with a mouse embossed on the top and Mac Cosmetics has their Extra Dimension Skin Finish in “Lunar Illusions” that is a pale gold and has an intricate Chinese dragon embossed on it and comes in beautiful red packaging in Celebration of the Lunar New Year.

So, however you want to glow this holiday season whether it be for Christmas or New Years there are many different products to choose from that can make you look your most illuminated and glowing as well as festive feeling to celebrate the holidays with a gorgeous makeup look.
